This unique beach attracts visitors from all over the world, with an estimated 28,000 to 30,000 visitors daily to Venice’s beach boardwalks and adjoining recreational sports and park properties. Also known as Oceanfront Walk, Boardwalk is the second most visited destination in Southern California, with an average of over ten million visitors a year. It is known as one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region.
The Beach Boardwalk in Venice spans 2 miles and is home to hundreds of street vendors and performers, as well as a number of privately owned restaurants and eateries. The Venice Beach Recreation Center offers a variety of activities, including basketball, paddle tennis and handball competitions, bodybuilding at the world-famous Muscle Beach Venice Gym, and other special events.
Off the coast of Venice, there is a fishing boat, a world-famous skate plaza, a bicycle track, two children’s playgrounds, and a variety of services for the culturally diverse population that travels throughout the year. Film productions are also very popular on the beaches of Venice and take place throughout the year. All playgrounds, skate plazas, piers, and other facilities are open to the public daily.
