The Hebrides

This beautiful Hebrides archipelago, still spoken by the Scottish Gaelic, is divided into Inland and Outer Hebrew and stretches along the west coast of Scotland.  The most visited and largest in the western islands is the Isle of Skye, a short-distance boat ride or bridge.  Isla, the home of abundant whiskey production, is another gem.  Notable among the less-visited outlying islands here are the tough Lewis and the city of Star now, the rough Harris and sandy beaches, and the calm barra.
