Echidna Chasm is a World Heritage Site and a very prominent place. Echidna Chasm is located in the Bungle Bungles in the Purnululu National Park. The narrow reservoir is located 19 km north of the visitor center. The walkway is short but there are rocky outcrops that require a moderate climb.
Echidna Chasm lane has 200 meters high walls and one-meter narrow sections. It can be a bit confusing to look at, and you can see that the large boulders that have fallen into them are stuck tightly between the walls. The tall Livistona trees provide a spectacular backdrop near the entrance to the palace. This can be a photographer’s delight with deep and constantly changing lighting. The penetration of sunlight during the day creates an incredibly golden hue. Needless to say, the best time for photographers is during the day. Drink plenty of water here as it can be incredibly hot even in winter.
